Hi CD's

Prime Minister annouced that Canada's current immigration levels would rise 40 per cent within five years due to shortage of skilled people , when Permenent Residence says no jobs. CD's are not taking any steps to inform Prime Minister about current situation of immigrants.
What Canadian govt. want to achieve by increasing immigrantion level when present permenent residence are not successful.

When new immigrants come in, they come in with money & buy new things to settle down. Regular household things also have to be brought.

The earlier immigrants are also settling down now & some of them are leaving Canada. So you do need more people to do the labour jobs.

This helps the economy to grow.

Thanks & regards.

Rajan.

Hi
I see so many similar threads on this forum and it's mind boggling that no one points to only real problem and only real solution..
Canada's open door, free for all immigration policy is spelling doom for hard-working canadians for all races and faces.. this type of indiscriminate immigration only serves to innundate the labor market with insanely high number of new arrivals bringing down or freezing wages at poverty levels. Only viable solution is to reduce the numbers tighten the labor market to the point where need for more workers becomes apparent enough thro' rising wages, inability of employers to find local workers and hence their pre-disposition to sponsor or pay for new arrivals.
Like I mentioned in other threads elsewhere.. this should be done in accordance with private industry. Canada does not need to give PR to more workers, more IT folks or more engineers unless they have come here and paid taxes for 2 years, have verifiable employment history in THIS country and THIS market. If you didn't come till now.. well tough luck.. boat is full now.. and taking in more will only mean sinking under the load instead of going towards promised land..
It's an economic problem that is hurting 1st and 2nd generation immigrants already in Canada and is killing future of their children. I am surprised and frankly saddened by lack of immigrant movement in Canada asking for Govt. to stop immigration or at least cut down and update process to do job-matching first before granting people permission to come in the country and live off social assistance becoz market was too crowded or their skills were not matched or needed..!!
STOP IMMIGRATION!! now how do you like them apples ?
