As a mortgage broker we deal with credit history all the time. I can for sure tell that the secondary is also reported on the credit.

The primary applicant gets most of the credit ! However the secondary applicant will also start a credit history and within time will start getting pre-approved offers in the mailbox.
Bank report only primary cardholders to credit bureau. Secondary add-on cardholders are not reported so there is no credit history created for them by being add-on.
hi,
In case I happen to bring with me letters from my bankers of migrated place
giving report on my repayment ofdebts and timly payment of credit card, will it work in canada to establish my credit history.
regds.
Dop,
The outhorized agencies from North America report your acitivities. The method described by you will not work. You need to build your history here.
in a nutshell, get a credit card/ bay catd/zellers card buy and pay on time. If unable to get the credit card get secured card and add secondary name and start as soon as you can.
