This means that we will have to wait until 2006 ?
And even in 2006 also we may get at anytime until March.
Isn't this a looong time ?
Does this mean that there is no any way to get Visa at earliest then 2006 ?
Hey,
I sent mail to CIC Delhi and got the same answer as Mr_Punjabi.
Same to Same answer.
So this means that now we will get visa in Jan, Feb or Mar 2006.
No any way.
May be if our luck changes and they start processing early, then we can get it, else no way.
This seems linked to yearly quota assigned to New Delhi.
It has already exhausted and only in beginning of January they will process new visas, whatever the stage of pending applications.
Hello Nir,
So now asI know ur plans, what i would suggest you is: just forget about Canadian PR and go ahead with your US settlement plan. Even if u get PR n u want to maintain the status u have to stay for 2 yrs atleast to continue the PR for next 5 years. So its better that keep a single goal.
If u want to be @ US , go on ur business visa, search for a H1 and stick to that company so in future u might get a Green Card also.
This is the only way to settle in US. So my advice is , if u r firm to settle @ US just dont waste ur time pursuing the Canada file. Ask them back ur passport and write clearly , when ever u can give me the visa request my passport back. coz. i dont think so even in 2006 feb they will return ur passport, coz. its always a delay from what they officially announce.
Anyways u r the best decision maker for urself. Be firm and select one option 1. wait for PR OR 2. Ask back the passport and go to USA.
coz. if u select 1. then dont go back from Canada without ur citizenship as ur 3 yrs stay will make u elligible for it. Whereas in USA u wont get through till 10 years from the day your Green card is filed (ya but may be u have more chances of quick settlement in US coz. opportunities are more there) . So there are pros and cons of US & Canada.
later.
