Does the place where you live within Toronto have any significance as to how long it takes to process your citizenship? We live within city limits (very close to York U).

Does the process go faster if one spouse is already a citizen?

Thx

RM

1. Yes.

2. Once you file the federal delay is the same for all applicants

3. After the application is sent to the local CIC office the delay varies , meaning it will be faster in Moncton ( NS) than in say Mississauga ( which is the busiest )

4. Generally any of these ( Citizenship / Birth certificates / Driving Licence appointments / Hospital Emergency wait times etc ) are longer in the immigrant rich Ontario than in other provinces

5. P.S . Ontario is rich in Immigrants , not rich immigrants

Thanks for the info Goldeneye. One more question; do you know what the current processing time is for whichever office it is that deals with applicants in my area (YorkU area). Thanks,

RM

Moncton, is in NB and not NS. I am not picking on the person.. what I did want to point out is generally, processing in NB is faster than NS.
