You bet. It still is.
I had a similiar experience recently at No Frills. Like a fool I joined 2 guys who were already in a discussion. Smartly, the other guy left, and I was stuck with this decent looking guy (not from Bombay, but from Chandigarh). He kept calling me. This 1st time I point blank asked him if it's Amway, and he said NO. It's Quikstar. I checked their website and sure enough it was the re-birth of Amway. Anyways, these guys don't give up that easily, so I had to invite him over for his 'lecture' and he shows up with a friends, like they always do. After a few minutes, again I point blank, declined to join them, and suddenly the other guy says.. Oh we're getting late for a meeting...blah...blah...blah.
Since then the guy hasn't called.
Now whenver some tries to introduce this stuff to me, I smartly say.. Oh ya, I'm a member too, it very godd...blah...blah...blah.. and the guy dissapears.

when we see somebody from these MLM schemes, refuse point blank..
do not prolong conversation in any manner..
THis way we will not get duped nor will any person dare to join such schemes and make fool of others..

QUIKSTAR is alive and kicking (literally). The guys at the top of the pyramid have made their thousands (if not millions), and the ones to get sucked in, are left with nothing but tall claims of "HOW-TO-BECOME-A-MILLIONAIRE" and how to retire at 40, with a residual income of ,,,,,,,,,, many thousands.
In all my years here, the only guys who have pestered me are the guys from quickstar, primerica (not an mlm company though) are the ones from south asia. Any similar experiences?

I have been approached by whites only.
One of them came as a customer to buy a keyboard & bought the one which was the cheapest & although a much better one was available with only $5 difference, he did not buy it since he did not have enough balance in his account. The keyboard in question was only $15.
He then started talking about how he was venturing into e-commerce. In the initial period, I had met one of the guys who invited me to Tim Hortons. He did not even offer me a coffee while he kept on having one all the time.
Rgds.

Let's make India a better place !
In most of the MLMs, top x% make money while the rest lose it.
You have be a salesperson to sell those products and schemes even though they will tell that "no selling is involved." C'mon if you do not sell anything, how are you going to make the money! The more you sell, the more money you make.
For all the people who lost money, there is at least one success story by "sintl" posted on CD, but again MLM is not everyone's cup of tea!
