Although she might have recovered successfully......chances of her having the tb germ in a dormant or inactive state are high. In india TB cases are handled only by the government and the lousiness in these cases is plenty.
She might get conditional clearance on her medicals where she has to report to a canadian physician on her landing and get the germ out of her.

Just relax. If she was treated OK in 1980s there should be no risk now.
Once treated properly it stays treated.

But I am surprised about 3 months treatment.

TB Treatment traditionally is of 24 months, now some doctors reduce it to 18 months. 3 months, to me, looks too short.

If not treated properly she should be suffering from evening fever, weight loss, cough, debilitation. It is better she gets sputum test from a TB Hospital and if positive for TB, start treatement immediately. If done rightly, her chest x-ray would be clear by January 2006. Let her take all this treatment from a good doctor. TB hospital doctors are normally very good at this.

In which city is she now?

:)
