I have a question about quixtar. Unfortunately someone very close to me joined and within few days found out that it is not worth his investment of 100 $ for becoming an IBO. Would he be able to get his money back. Any one with personal experience may send me a personal message or write to this thread with their suggestions. Its not even been 10 days since he joined.
He tried to get me to sign on and in the bargain realised that he did not believe in the business.
My understanding is that it is one of those things that require a certain amt of persistance and thats something that those who have may be successful...but this friend is not finding it meeting his personal ambitions and choice..no offense to those who believe in the model.... Any quixtar people out there may suggest me some options for this friend of mine...it would be welcome.

Hi CD's,
yesterday i experienced a unique Quikstar marketing statergy. I sometimes buy from CD's Classified and i had quoted my price for a product advertised in the CD classified. I had given the advertiser my phone number. In fact the price that i quoted was well below the advertised min. price.
The guy who called me was very polite. He first asked me my profession, my office , nature of duty i performed, my gen. financial status and specifically from where i hailed. He was very very sweet in talking and was talking as though he will give me the product free though he never mentioned another word of the product except that he was calling as a result of me quoting for the project.
OK. once he learned my town, he told me of a very sucessful person who hailed from my town and that he will introduce me to that Gentleman. He told me that that gentleman was a mentor and that he also had the oppertunity for me to work part-time in his business. I told him that i was an extremly busy man. He would not hear of it. He proposed that we meet at a coffee shop to discuss the part time oppertunity together and that that gentleman would also help me come up in my professional life by helping me to network culturally with others. I still refused. He then told me that the price that i had quoted was too low. I told him that that was all that i could afford and kept the phone down.
Just my experience.

It happened with me too ... last year. The couple started talking with me in a real polite manner. Ask me exactly smiliar questions as TK mentioned. ... my home town, when I moved to Canada ... they tend to bend you kind of emotionally.
That guy took my home number and call me after 5-7 days. Then he showed his real intention ... I had to cut the conversion.
That's not the first experience of mine.
What bothers me is that ... now if some innocent desi guy approaches me and try talking in a polite manner, the first thing that comes to my mind is "amway".
It takes more than few dialogues to decide anything. But I do fail .. and made bad judgements

Same thing here. Yesterday I got a call from a guy who claimed he got my details from CD. He mentioned he's got a business opportunity and that there was a seminar to be held in Brampton today (Feb 8th). I asked him if it's Quikstar or Amway. He hesitated for a moment and then said NO. He went on to say it's something like it. I thanked him and ended the conversation.
