Hi,
Me and my wife got Canadian Immigration in March 2003. We stayed there for few days, we got our PR cards, SIN Cards and we opended our bank accounts but could not qualify for Health Card.
I was working in USA in Detroit and my wife was pregnant and after the paper work I came back to USA. Since then, there are few changes, I have two babies now (twins - born in Sep 2003 and they are American). And My wife got her last name change in her passport so she got new passport with change in married name. And her old passport has been cancelled by Chicago- on which she landed in Canada.
I want to know:
1. What the problems my wife can face when going o Canada with the different names in PR card & current passport?
2. If I move with my family, can my babies also get the benefit of Canadian health Program when they are American by birth? Do I have to apply for their visa or some other thing.
3. Will I face any problem if I cross border daily as my job will be in detroit and I will stay in Windsor?
Please advise me.
Thank,
AK
1. none
2. you have to sponsor them
3. not from Canadian authorities. I don't know about US immigration.
