Hi All,
Yeterday in one of gathering I heard this strange discussions. Can someone throw some lights on this.
One of my friend came to Canada in August Ist week , flew back to USA on second week after staying in Canada for a week and opening bank accounts, applying SIN no. etc.
He came back again on Nov Ist week and applied for health card, he was granted health card same day. The clerk at Health department only saw her entry date in passport , Bank statements, etc.
But now what happens when he actually apply for citizenship as he need to fill the information related with in & out of country, including any travel to USA.
Will this create any problem for him as he started staying permanently over here in Toronto only since Nov but due to some clerical error he got Health Card as of Nov (counting aug, sep, oct) .
Kindly advice
they will check his passport entries not his health card that is only for health issues. they will count his physical stay in canada and he will prove it by his entry and exit stamps in his passport.

That means you think they don't have to show the information being out of Canada from 2nd week of August last week of Oct as there was no records of that in passport (while applyign for citizenship). Though they receive Health Card benefit as of Nov 1st week accounting stay in Canada since Aug (as in passport entry).
I will ask them to go through this thread.
Thanks!
i woould suggest your friend wait a few months and give correct account. they will have record of his leaving and entering canada. even if he drove i cant see how they would not record it. it is purgery if they find out. he cld loose his PR altogether. so why the hurry. in canada they check all info between differant departments.
anyways - he needs to live in canada full time for 4 yrs before applying for citizenship. how does one fudge 4 yrs that i would like to know.
so you mean they should entered correct information while applying for citizenship. Then what happens if they find out that they were given healthcard earlier than waiting period?
