Most gujaratis who grew up in India have heard this poem/bhajan about little Krishna taking on the snake who lived in the river. Does anyone know wrote this? Was it Narsinh Mehta? Umashankar Joshi maybe?
It starts as
"Jalkamal chandi ja ne bala,
Swami amaro jaagshe
Jaagshe tane maarshe
Mane bal hatya laagshe"
I'm looking for
1) a link to the lyrics
2) a link to either buy a CD or download a mp3.
Would appreciate any help...

It is Narsinh Mehta. My wife is sure about it.
I was also listening to RadioofIndia today. The link of it is given on CD itself & this was the 2nd song which came on it. The announcer said that it is written by Narsinh Mehta.
Rgds.
