dear all,
I have following questions regarding PR:
I am on study permit in canada. I lost my project and won't be graduating. Hence I don't have an option for extra 1 year work permit or other extension.
Is there a way to extend my stay in Canada until Buffalo completes my application?
I applied with AOR March 2005, IELTS request Aug 2005, IELTS submitted Oct 2005. I am still waiting for IA. My study permit expires May 2006. Do I have the right to stay in Canada solely on the fact that my application is in process?
If not, how to do extension and what to state as reason ( I guess visitor visa extension is most likely,am i right?). I am in Canada 4 years already. Is there any educational institution that is easy to get proof of study from (e.g. some courses or language study). Please advise on how to extend my stay here in Canada.
Thanks
Zebrafish

I was in similar situation, when my grad work permit was about to end and my PR was nowhere close, my employer was good enough and I got my HRDC approved work permit for 1 year......still waiting for PR.
If you are still working and your employer is co-operative, ask them to apply for actual work permit through HRDC.
it took me 3-4 months to complete the whole process.
