Canada Immigration - Is it worthwhile ???. This is a big question that has been on my mind since I started actively viewing the posts here. Untill then I was quite enthusiastic about immigration and was actually looking forward to it. Many of us here have posted negative remarks about Canada and their experiences in Canada. Do all these negatised people feel that they could have done better in India ?. Please be frank about it. This forum is a place where all of us meet.
I wish to see a lot of Positive attitude here on this forum. Let me request all my Desi friends who have had any good experiences since their first visit to Canada to contribute their "Good " experiences apart from the "Bad" ones. Canada cant be really that bad as nearly 200000 people immigrate to Canada on an annual basis from all parts of the world!. I am in the middle East at this moment and see myself starting a new life in canada, ...sometime soon and am actually looking forward to it.
So.... lets start with some "Positive" posts here...
worthwhile...for me...definitely!!!
Positive all the way..definitely not. And thats what people are trying to point out. You are aware of the positives of being in Canada already arent you? You would not decide to migrate otherwise.
This site would not be what it is if everyone wrote about all that you already expect and nothing that you were not prepared for, would it?
Myself...earning very well...very happy to be here. Both wife and I also have our own businesses on the side. Enjoying the Canadian way. In my opinion, the best place in the world. As someone put it "Canada is the American dream...only the Americans do not know about it". Life could not be better. How would any of this prepare a highly educated newcomer who finally has to work at mc donalds at 7$/hr?

everything boils down to
your age
your way of doing things
and as someone has mentioned earlier
read everyone's experiences but dont conclude it would happen to you.you are a indvidual and your way of doing things is as unique as you are so its a risk that you are taking.
after reading the experiences of people i can only conclude one thing
people who have stayed here less then 5 years are complaining and those who have stayed around 8-10 years are better off financially.
one more thing if you are living a well sttled life and are in your mid 30's plz dont some because it will take you 5 years to settle down and early 40's chances of moving up definately slower up in this fast paced world.
Canada is like the austrailian wicket where you need to take off the shine of the new ball before you can wheck those brett lee's
