Looks like players of desi origin are doing well in english cricket. Nasser Hussain was the captain (hamara gaon ka aadmi hain, from Chennai). Now it is Madhusuden Singh "Monty" Panesar who has been chosen to tour India this winter. He is a sardar with Bedi's looks and action (left arm spin). There is one more who was in contention by name Min Patel who is also a spinner like Panesar. Vikram Solanki has played ODIs for England and is now the captain of England A to tour WI.
