Hey Ayaskant,
Why are you confused? When did you apply?
I applied in Feb 2003 and am still waiting!
You might want to apply for your CAIPS notes in case you need an exact update on your specific case. My CAIPS notes should be available within the next week and I can update you on my status, if you think that would give you an idea as to the general timeline.
Hi Diamond,
Thanks. Please share your CAIPS notes when you get it.
I had applied for immigration to Canada in December 2001. Subsequently I got my File No in April 2002. I have also taken the IELTS exams and scored an overall Band score of 7.5 in FEB 2003. Marks scored in the individual modules are as follows:
LISTENING SKILLS: 7.5
READING SKILLS: 6.5
WRITING SKILLS: 8
SPEAKING SKILLS: 7.5
I have been waiting since then.
Regards,
Ayaskant.

Success
To laugh often and much;
To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children;
To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends;
To appreciate beauty, to find the best in others;
To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition;
To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived.
This is to have succeeded. Bessie Stanley
this is really depressing...but ayaskant..doesnt one need a 7 in every band of IElts...maybe thats why there is delay? otherwise urs seems like a very secure case.
diamond...pls share details of ur caips notes..thanks
I applied for P.R.Visa on 8th Sept'2004 and received my file number on 6th Oct 2004. My Ielts score was
L- 7.5
R- 6
W- 6
S- 7
Overall- 6.5
Can it be a cause of delay in processing of my case,that I have not obtained 7 bands in all modules? But with above mentioned band score I have got required 67 points. I am preparing for TEF (French). Can it expedite my Case, if I score 4 points in French?
Your critical review is required.
Once you apply with 67 points or more, there is no concept of delay or speeding up.
Then it is just, "Please wait, you are in the queue!"
HAPPY HOLI to all 2002 applicants. Hope fully next holi in camada !!!

Hi,
This is just an update for those who I'd offered to share my CAIPSnotes with.
It has been over 40 days since I applied for my CAIPSnotes and it now seems that CIC has a backlog even in this aspect (i.e. CAIPSnotes) and I have been asked to wait a few more days !!!!
At least that's what the chaps at http://www.caipsnotes.com" rel="nofollow">LINK have written to me.
