I am planning to move to Van/Tor permanently. I did finish my landing formalities earlier in Jul 2005. At that time i declared around 15k USD. I didn't open any account and took the money back as it is. Now i will be coming with around USD 30K. is it ok or i have to pay tax on it. b'coz i didn't declare the rest. Also do the custom officer at the airport check the luggage for taxable electronics like camcorder, digital camera or laptop. because i don't have GTF list. please guys help me to sort out this.

yes you have to declare the money you ar bringing with you.because any amount eql or above US$ 10000 you have to declare.also they will check you baggage for and if you are bringing anything you brought outside canada you have to declare.1st 700 $ having no duty and after that amount you have to pay certain duty.rest you can check on CCRA website(just write CCRA in google and check it)
