I've done my small study on digital cameras and I've zeroed in on Canon SD 300 model which would suite my needs.
This model is available in Walmart at $338, and it had come down to $288 during Boxing Day Sale. Currently I do not find it in Future Shop or Best Buy. They are all pushing the later model of SD 450.
Can my fellow CD's advice me on where I can find it and also obtain a good deal on the price ?
I live in Mississauga, ON.

Recently I bought Canon A 510 . Quite happy with the results ..Right now It seems A 520 is only wht is avlbl in FS . May be if u dont find SD series try and compare it with A series and see what u like

My brother recently bought an HP camera (don't know the model), but it is a 5MP. It was around 5 months old with balance of warranty. He paid $180.

I bought Canon A520. Right now it sells for $269.99 at Futureshop. Some time back it was on sale @ $218.99 also at other places & Futureshop. 4 MP with 4x optical zoom. Very good results. ofcourse you need to buy memory card, bag, etc. separately.
Try London Drugs or other speciality camera stores.

Canon A520 - $239
Kodak Z730 (5MP) - $299
HP V550 - $299 (359-60 instant disc)

I bought Canon SD400 (5MP) almost one year back and very much happy with the image quality.
I paid $499 +Tax (getting $50 discount )that time and now price dropped down to $399 
During Boxing Day online sale Future Shop was selling SD700(7 MP) at $399 giving a flat $200 discount
SD450 is also another good model with 2.5 inch LCD screen.

Has any1 tried the Canon S2 IS or Panasonic Z 5 ?
What are the prevailing prices for the above. Both these are matchless cameras ............. Also pls tell how much does NIKON D50 cost in Canada ??
