Salaam Namaste everyone.....

We came across this site a few days back and have been following it regularly . we enjoy going through the charcha section every now and then....its a one stop guide to all u need to know about Canada..... Welldone canadiandesi!!

My Husband and I have been here in Toronto for a year now....we try to make the best of life and enjoy it everyday...(not easy but getting better each day) .We would like to make friends with some more Desi couples...we are looking forward to forging some great friendships....

So, just a big hello from us to all the canadiandesis..... hope to make some good friendships here..

Thanks l5a, u know i feel if one is going to have an attitude.....it might aswell be positive (dont remember where i read that but i fully agree with it ). It wasnt easy for me when i moved here(homesick and hardly knowing anyone here)...but thanks to my husband the transition has been good. I guess its with any new place u move to...one has to aquaint oneself with the surroundings and people.. and we thought this site was a great way to meet some new people. we live in downtown area.

I was going through some earlier threads and wondering about having a gettogether for all the canadiandesis? how about a picnic or something once the weather is a bit warmer? i think it would be a fun way to meet people.we all can get creative and come up some ideas and locations.

Can anyone organise these gettogethers or is it upto the moderators of this site?

Anyone can. There have been several attempts in the past, some successful, some not so.
