I have not written to this group in a while but could not ignore it as I read more and more of the emails. About 3 years ago I started to help immigrats who had come to Canada or were coming here soon to find jobs. It became such a success that we now have 100's of people using it. What is strange is that its not immigrants anymore.

Even though I started this to help immigrants who come to this country, spend thousands of dollars on lawyers etc.. today 95 % of our clients are students and people looking for better jobs. What we found is that most immigrants think you are a scam. We started this for immigrants and the ones we did we have almost 100 % success rate in getting them very good jobs.

What we do is change the laws of probability for people. We apply to 1000-1500 companies on your behalf with your cover and your resume in your field of study. So if you are electrical, IT, Chemical, Plastics, etc...( 60,000 companies) person, each list of 1000+ companies is different. The way it also works is that its the laws of probability, every 100-200 you apply to 1 is interested and your will succeed in 1 out of 5 interviews. This is very time consuming work and highly labour intensive. We even set our fee structures so that people just pay the minimum and only pay us if they succeed, this way their success is our success. If people did this themselves it would take your 4 months full time. ( NOTE ITS TAKEN US 2 YEARS OF WORK JUST TO GET OUR DATABASES TO BE THE BEST)

The reason for our sucsess was that we also apply to hundreds of other companies that most people do not think of applying to. If you ever wondered what those boxes (companies) on the 401, QEW and downtown office towers do, we know and we apply to the ones that apply to you.

Anyway anyone wants details they are at weapplyforyou.com (www.weapplyforyou.com). We are not an agency- they typically cannot help immigrants (some do) as their client expect Canadian experience. When we work with people we typically help them re-write their resume as most of them are bad.

Anyway just wanted to make this point that I started this to help immigrants but just did not succeed. Hope to work harder at it but do not know how to get to them and tell they need to keep applying to win. Its only a small probability sometimes as low as 0.1 % but even if you do a 1000 yourself then you have won. I am helping a lot of other people and they are getting to new positions. Any advice? I always want to get that on how to show people how we can help.

Do you have an office address or phone number? Your website only advertises an email contact.

Also.. I understand it is illegal in some provinces to charge job seekers

Dear Sir,

Our offices are in Mississauga, Ontario and we mostly work with people accross Canada by phone or in special Semiars we do. We also see them at the office with an appointment.

Please note we only apply for you and typically apply to 1000-1500 companies and typically fax 200-300 of them as some clients prefer that. ( we incur these costs so you can apply) We try to just cover our cost. We only charge you for the labour. We only do that when they get the job. Again we do not get you the job but apply for you to every customer you should have applied to anyway.

This comes from our Marketing and Sales background where we left no stone unturned. Again this works.

Wafy:

In what period of time do you apply on behalf ofthe client to 1000 - 1500 jobs?

Do you guarantee that you have 1000 jobs in a person's particular field? Do you have a minimum # of job guarantee?

Thanks

Hello!
I am not supporting this thread nor disapproving it. A similar situation occured in my life and i just want to share it.
In 1983, i returned from a foreign country to india. I was put up in std. 7. I was brought up of writing exams on my own. My classmates in std. 7 in india told me that in india marks come only when you memorise and write the answer in the exams. In the initial years, i was unable to memorise major exam portions for many subjects. So whenever a test or an exam was given, i knew the answers for about 50-55% of the question. So for the remainder of the question, i just used to wrire garbage based on the question.
for example : if the question was describe the Aryan invasion of india, i would write " Aryans were strong people. They were from a country called as Arya. They has horses and good spears. Indians had only wood weapons. Indians were not living in groups but were divided etc.. etc..". The teacher used to strike off the answer but give me 1/2 mark for the attempt (in some cases). This would give me an extra 2 or 3 marks to my total score. My fellow students used to marvel at my creativity ( i used to hang out with the students getting the lowest marks only).
When i reflect uopn this , i feel that the intention this person is just the same. Just fax/e-mail to 1000's of companies whether they are hiring or not. May be there is a employer looking for a person just as the fax comes by. It is a remote possibility.

Disclaimer : This is just my feelings that was in my mind when i read the post . I am not encouraging or discouraging anyone. I , personally, May or Maynot use the service based on how much i have to shell. I have also not gone through this individual's site. I also donot work in a factory so i maynot be aware of the actual Canadian hiring practices in factories/ big offices etc...

:) :) :) Funny. Yes, you have a point.

Also, sending mass mailings might help for entry level job seekers as they do not have experience and helps to enter the job market to get the ever elusive "Cdn Experience". However, with more experience, I prefer to tailor my resume to fit the opportunity and focus on few.

As a side note that I remember now after reading your exam and answers analogy, my dad is in the academics. During his rookie days when he had to grade 1000s of university exam papers, he has several times come across answer papers that had Rs100 notes inserted inside the answer sheets with a plead for a pass mark !!:) Those were the funny moments for me growing up as a kid.

Dimple,
I heard this story from my Tution masters who were paper correctors themselves. You reminded that to me.
