I am planning to sponser my parents on visitor visa, any recent experience from CDs, what are the fees for multiple entry and single entry? On CIC website, its mentioned 400$ for the family for multiple entry and 150$/ family member for the same? Whats payement mode, DD to be payable to whom? if applying in person at Ahmadavad office.
I am planning to call them for my daughter's Mundan ceremony, what are the chances?

any suggestions are appreciated!

Hi Appy,

I sponsored my parents from Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India in December 2005. They are here since last two and half months. The procedure is pretty straight forward. I would say you should apply for single entry visa first and that is what all agents are telling. You will get answer within 2 days after submitting the visitor visa application to canadian consulate office, ashram road, ahmedabad. There is no need to go there personally for interview or any other things.

Hope this helps.
Vimal

Update-
The poster above is right about the waiting period. It took 2 days for my parents application(mult-entry: 3and half yrs) to be approved. BTW against my suggestion, my mom(as headstrong as ever) applied by herself without any help from an agent.

My thinking is multi entry will be preferable than single entry, as consulate might think atleast person will be back to use multi entry visa, on the other hand one of my friends parents got only one year multi entry visa!
I need to know DD should be payable to whom for applicaion in Ahmadabad?
