I am not sure if this has been discussed before.
When a Canadian citizen goes to the USA for a initial interview for a job opening at the request of a potential Job, what do you say? you are going for a interview? or if there are any concerns with this answer.
Any suggestions...
Thank you very much for your help in advance. '

Every topic under the sun has been discussed in CD till it was devoid of any flesh and matter!.
Your question is very confusing !.
If you are going to USA for a job interview you just drive down across the bridge, wave your Canadian Passport to the border gaurds and go and meet the employer.
Upon obtaining the job you ask the employer to issue you an employment offer with your job classification just like in the NAFTA classification.
You proceed to Pearson or to the border with this letter of offer and get your visa stamped at the border and enter US of A and Live Happily Ever After!
Nearing completion of the year, you could either get the visa extended by post or coming back to the border and re-entering with the stamp.

Speech by Thomas Friedman of The New York Times....
"When we were young kids growing up in America, we were told to eat our
vegetables at dinner and not leave them. Mothers said, 'think of the
starving children in India and finish the dinner.' And now I tell my
children: 'Finish your maths homework. Think of the children in India
who would make you starve, if you don't.'"
What are the chances of TN rejection??
Chances of rejection are very low if your paper work is right. Let us assume you are a mechanical engineer with all your education and experience in that field and you are being hired for a software job it would be problematic. They rigidly go by the relation between your education( you need to get your educational certificates evaluated) and it should be relevant to your field of employment. As there is no higher ceiling on the visa numbers there is no problems. You could also re-apply. Please ensure that your job offer is based on Nafta classification.
The only problem is which side of the bed the visa officer got up that morning and did he/she have a fight with their spouse that morning!.
Better to plan for a long term H-1B if your goal is US of A.

I would be happy if it is as simple as you mention. (waving the canadian passport).
BTW I am not in Ontario (but alberta) and am not driving but flying to San Jose for a interview.
The reason for my question was I heard some discussion around US customs still asking various questions and if they would like the answer that I am going to US for interview.
I am sure once I have the offer letter then it will be ok since then I am looking for a visa stamping.

Just say that you are going for interview. I was never stopped or questioned when I said that. Usually officer responded Good luck with the interview. If you are flying to San Jose and not staying longer it is even easier as you have return flight same/next day.

Yes I agree the trip was uneventful and easy. For some strange reason the last time i visited a friend in US the guy asked me a lot of questions and hence the apprehensions.
I just mentioned I am going for a personal meeting.
Hope this helps others visiting US.
Thanks to all for those who replied and read the thread.
