I've always looked at business opportunities in Canada since the last 2.5 years and with an eye for manufacturing/outsourcing these products to India.
I've identified several products, which I could outsource to India(with upgradation in the existing Infrastructure in India, Quality & Packaging upgradation). Several companies(for Eg: CPI Plastics, Royal Plastics) have been working on products, processes which are 30 years old atleast. The good thing is that they have kept up their quality standards. I think I can make those products with equivalent quality but cheaper price due to the labour cost of $16 per hour in Canada versus Rs.5000 per month in India. I have seen similar products manufactured in Halol, Kalol and Ahmedabad. If they improve on product quality and packaging they could give a good run for the money for the products here.
I have an idea of attacking the US of A market also with these products as most of Canadian products end up there.
Whenever I work in any company here, I always look at the costing and see how that could be worked out cheaper elsewhere. Many times I find chinese products much cheaper.
I've a question to fellow CD's can you think of products, services which could be outsourced to India ?. This will help people like me and also help many people with an idea for business to ponder up on and even work up on.
Thanks for your ideas and keep the ideas flowing!.
Enough is Enough on one more take out, food franchise, pizza corner, desi dhukan selling the same achar, one more saree shop, one more leather place or one more real estate, mortgage, financial specialist . We will just undercut each other and shut down.
If possible let us think out of the box.!
Note: Ideas are cheap, making it happen is the whole key!

Speech by Thomas Friedman of The New York Times....
"When we were young kids growing up in America, we were told to eat our
vegetables at dinner and not leave them. Mothers said, 'think of the
starving children in India and finish the dinner.' And now I tell my
children: 'Finish your maths homework. Think of the children in India
who would make you starve, if you don't.'"
My friend is in the outsourcing business. He has clients in Canada and he takes some IT jobs, not sure what kind, and has office in Delhi where he gets these jobs done. But he guy was a consultant with big five in CRM area. So I am guessing the work is related to CRM.

We can even target the bigger US market. Supplier in India is reliable and has excellent quality. Few of us can get together and do this business. What say? You could PM me if interested.
