My highest respects to all Indians out here that they can accept this crap from anyone. I bow to all of u. BV has openely dissed himself and all the Indians.
Well I guess anyways u don't have any respect for urself, ur identity ur past what else can I expect from you.
Jake this is what I said in one of my posts and u had asked me a question about it. U'll stand up for anything small against Canada, but nothing against India and Indian's.
As if goras don't do anything wrong as babail pointed out.
BV the only person I found disgusting for this post was u and no one else.
Is there a reason you're using multiple IDs? What's the idea here?

What are you talking about me not standing up for India/Indians? I dont consider it my duty to defend Canada OR India on this or any other forum.
I state my opinion as and when I please like i did when someone said they dont like to hire desi's.
If you really want to know, Its too limiting for me to be seen as 'Canadian' or 'Indian' anyway. To me its all the same...the boundaries are man-made and are meant to keep/amass resources and prop up govts and armies. We need a reason to die for
. Like I mentioned before on this or another thread...our destinies as beings are intertwined in the universe. It was so in the past, is now..and will be in the future.
You ofcourse dont have to see things like I do and can continue defending whatever is important to you. People like you are part of my destiny too.

As if goras don't buy pirated CD's. As if Goras don't steal cable signals. Most biggest hackers etc are goras not Indians. Most softwares made for burning, and breaking macrovision DVD's etc are done by Goras. I had got a chip put in my Xbox to play burnt games. The chip was provided and put in by a gora. The person who told me about this gora was gora.
Disgusting.
Oh yes, here is another classic Indian mentality. Just because a Gora does something, suddenly it is now okay for an Indian to do it.
When will Indians stop comparing themselves to Goras? Oh when will we take responsibility for our own actions? Will Indian ever become leaders with this sort of mentality?
Certainly not until we have individuals who cannot shake the colonial thinking. And you know what - most Goras are law-abidding citizens. None of MY FREINDS have ever admitted to buying pirated games or dvds. On the other hand we have
Babil who shamelessly admits to buying pirated games and movies. Stealing is one thing, admitting in an open forum shameful! SHAME ON YOU!

I disagree. If you feel dissed - let me say it is your guilty consious getting the better of you. I don't see what this has to do with my identity, or my past. Both of which I am extremely proud of.
In fact, I dare say that
I have obviously more respect for myself than you do. I have sworn allegiance to one country at a time, period. If you think it is okay to swear allegiances willy nilly than either you do not understand the gravity of the matter or you are immoral. I do not give my word unless I intend to follow through. But you do not seem to worry about that.
Because, let us face it, your word means nothing. And you think I have no respect. Explain that logic to me SVP.

I have dealt with Babail's points in my earlier posting. If you think babail was right then you know what I feel about you.

You first make a good point about not doing comparisons. And then run it down with making a blanket statement about goras.
There are no angelic or devilish races, whether desis or non-desis. I dunno how you guys can make statements like these. I'm sure everyone can point out lots of people in each race who aren't exactly model citizens. Extrapolating that making statements about a whole community is pretty silly.
And can we all stop all the squabbling and start disagreeing in a better way? Something more civil?

Jake
your above statement"Its too limiting for me to be seen as Canadian or Indian" really hit the nail on the head for me. Why are we all fighting? Why do we feel so vulnerable? What do we have to lose?
When I walk on the street, people will look at me and say 'Indo canadian". When I am with people who are 'desi's' , I am the 'canadian'. Who am I? I am ALL those things. I am so much more. Im a person who likes sunsets (for example). Does that change if Im from India or Canada? Does it matter?
We can be canadian..indian..and human beings with feelings, emotions, experiences. Yes people who leave their country to migrate will be very homesick..especially in the first few years. I dont blame you. I left my PROVINCE to come to BC and I am very homesick
Imagine if I had moved to another country!
Why are there no posts about hobbies..volunteer work..their families..their communities. Im not talking about desi community but the greater community around one? Do people make an effort to get to know their 'present' homes?
Why does it matter so much? Why is it competition?
Imgoing to be judgemental here on everyone including MYSELF: We have become very very negative..and giving each other and ourselves nothing but heartaches.
No one is the winner here, are they?
