Hi

I wrote GMAT and today one of the business school in canada has denied me an admission and the reason quoted is " I am more suitable for Executive MBA"

And during interview they wanted me to buy their EMBA which I declined. So dear friends...good experience is a disadvantage in this country...where I should I go? I could have cooked my resume if I knew that more experience is bad!

Well this shud be a lesson for all those desi who have been chanting Canada's name for so many days.

Look what tjsingh has faced ..he being so educated has to go through all this...

The Canadian Govt. is simply just making money out of new immigrants.

THE BOTTOM LINE IS

LOW JOBS = CANADA

GREAT JOBS = INDIA

Yes they are just making money and do not want us to take white coller jobs, for MBA you spend appox $ 1,00,000 and still no job guarantee and still I was ready to take risk to correct my mistake of coming to canada..but they dunot want me!

Tjsingh,

Even though you take a degree here, there is no guarantee that you will get a good job here, I know more than 10 people who went to school here to upgrade their skills & till today they haven't gotten in any better jobs than what they were doing before they went to upgrade.

Good luck.

Hi tjsingh,

Have you checked the online MBA in technology offered by Simon Fraser University. It costs only C$31000 (approx) and the last date for applying is 30th April. Check it out if you are interested.

Thanks,

Nikhil

Well you cannot just generalize like this. I have known immigrants who have come and done their MBA in their mid-30s and have done very well here but their profile is like this:

1) Ivey league or top 20 US or Canadian education (Masters)
2) Strong experience in International company
3) Excellent grades

This is the sort of profile you need if you want to succeed with an MBA. Otherwise you need strong niche technical skills. All bright graduates in India are not successful. All IIT, IIM graduates are not Vice Presidents, or even managers. A lot depends on EQ rather than IQ.

I feel like going back to India where a telecom sales professional with an exp of 10 years can easily find a job of Rs 10 lac per annum.

MBA from canada is not considered a great asset in India, and once I do my MBA from here and take a loan I will be struck to this country for ever!
