Which Mixer is really good for grinding or mixing or creating fine paste of Indian stuff for preparing spices, or curries etc?

Sumeet is good and there is a branch in Toronto too. But they are very expensive mixies.

Any other alternative brand, equally good but reasonable? If yes, where can we get that in Toronto?

Preethi mixer is o.k. and the price is $200. I bought one two weeks back in one Indian Grocery; I do not know whether I paid more money or not, because I did not go to any other shop to compare the price........

What is the price of Sumeet Mixer?

When i went to india 5 months back, i brought back a preethi. I paid around Rs. 4000 in India. I still have not opened it from the pack. Preethi was the only one which was available in a small TN town which had the 110 Volts converted. I am glad to hear that Preethi is a good mixie.

I have paid 100 % more price in Canada ($200 ) than the Chennai Price $100 Equivalent for a same mixer?

Desi Shops are making huge profit on Indian product.

Do you think so? How much profit they should make than? The transportation, packing, stocking... many things. Remember there are middlemen too.

I think most of the things should have this 1:2 ratio when we talk about price.

In anyway I am not intended to limit their profit whether it is 100% or 200 % At the same time I am not asking desi shop owner to do charity for a new immigrant and his family.....

All I have tried, I want to inform the fellow CD members if you are able to buy a 110 Volts Mixer, Grinder.....etc. Buy From India and bring it when you come to Canada, or hook up some friend/student, who is not bringing 32 or 23 kg Luggage on their way to Canada. This will same money…..
