What i think loser meant was the skimpy summer dress code of females in Canada (Meghal has mentioned about this in his first post of this thread) which was brought up in the forum a couple of weeks back and which no one really accepted (in this forum).
But his message/ concept is very clear, which is : If you donot like the activities of Canadians, canot assimilate into the society, please go back to the country that you are from.
I personally will not accept this. My idea is to work here, keep close contact with tamilians, send money to india (if possible), spend time with family, watch TV indoors/Internet, Try to go to India once every year and leave the country around retirement time. This is my choice. I canot / donot like to mix with people whose first language is English. This is just my personal choice. I may interact with white people in my office and during work but for social life i prefer to be with Tamilians and some indians. (and please note before you think of something funny : I am not a Muslim) Being granted Immigration does not mean that i have to assimilate into the Canadian society. I immigrated only for doing work and due to the exchange rate of this currency when compared to the Indian rupee.

TK its your choice and nobody (including me) should be allowed to take that right away from you but I will still point out the problems I see with your point of view. The main problem is that keeping yourself separate from other ppl generates a feeling of being distinct and different from those other ppl (I mean goras etc) around you. You will never be able to feel comfortable with others around you and will not be able to make them comfortable.

Another thread that

a) pays too much homage to one CD member

b) gives said CD member an opportunity to post yet again his views about himself and his position in Canada

The purpose of this site, though discussion occurs and I am an active member of many discussions is for information resources for individuals who wish to settle into Canadian society.

IF an individual expresses over and over again that they do not wish to be part of the greater community then for what purpose do they wish to be on this site?

Morning Rain,
An immigration visa entitiles a holder to legally come to Canada work, buy property and settle down here.
There are some who donot wish to settle down here. They see immigration as a glorified work visa (incl. Myself). Some donot like to assimilate into the soceity since they donot like to be a part of this canadian society due to various reasons (incl. me).
I am a desi and this is a desi website. I belive that this website is to inform people about Canadian society, job market, Immigration etc... so that a potential immigrants is well aware of the true conditions of this country before they make a decision to immigrate. I visit this site to enhance my knowledge about Canada-more so about the desi's here, (while i am still here) and the things that i should be careful of in this society (while i am still here) and i share my knowledge so that desi's are informed about the situation here, what they should avoid and what they should take care if they want to find a job, buy a house, sponser their parents, do a business etc...
You talk as if a person (once he is a citizen or a PR) has to like and settle in this country and to speak only the goodness about it. This is not the case for some people and i am one of them.

Here are some excerpts from the link below...lets support people like this by refusing to make excuses for the supremacists.

'Homegrown terrorists'

Tarak Fatah, a Muslim leader and activist who is frequently critical of hardline Islamist thinking, says the arrests are a wake-up call to his community.

Tarak Fatah "While the overwhelming majority of Canada's Muslims are stunned by this development," he says, "few can honestly deny that they saw it coming."

He expresses particular concern about the fact that many of the accused in this case are Canadian-born who seemed to have been drawn in recent years to the violent ideology espoused by what he calls "fascist groups promoting Islamic supremacy".

Many analysts are comparing the Toronto suspects to the young men who detonated bombs in London on 7 July last year.

"Homegrown terrorists" is a phrase that pops up again and again.

Tarak Fatah says Muslim leaders need to be especially alert for young men in their congregations and mosques who are drawn to Islamic websites and political causes.

"It's time to say enough is enough," he says, "A mosque is no place for politics."

Something that I forgot to emphasize in my original posting, which was later described by Jake3D.

People in Holland/Britian are surprised that most of the terrorist were born and brought up in Holland/Britian. So even after being brought up in a European environment, they were still brain washed into fundamentalism ideology.

The pattern is similar in Canada.

The main culprit in Canadian case have bitter feelings towards western ideology. So why is he still here?

Same question was asked by CBC reporters to Muslim youths in Britian

Someone born and grew up here then you can not deport him/her anywhere. Only thing can do is keep eyes on him/her or put in local jail.

One more option, handover to US.

A hypothetical question......

I was born and brought up in India.
I have "bitter feelings" towards the "indian ideology". (whatever that may be)
What would you recommend ???
