Website of Canadian Immigration http://www.cic.gc.ca" rel="nofollow">LINK says that parents sponsorship applications received up to 4th March 2004 are cleared. However, we have not yet received approval for sponsoring our parents , application for which was received by them in the middle of December 2003. When we called the call center, they say that applications received up to 4th March 2004 cleared does not mean that approvals are given and it only means that their files are opened and could take time for processing.
Are there any members on this website who received approval for their applications between December 2003 and March 2004? Let us hope this is not another delay tactic being used by Canadian Government to delay the parents sponsorship further which as it is is taking more than 5 years.
Thanks,
Vijay

Hi,
for your information, I applied in Aug.2003 for sponsoring my parents. I got approval in Oct 2005, i applied to New delhi in Nov. 2005, got the medicals in Dec2005, done twice in Jan 2006, got the request for passport in Mar 2006, received on Jun 6 2006.
Any members on this board who applied in December 2003 or afterwards and got clearence from CPC Mississauga please?

Vijay
