In Bombay travel agents have always been very helpful and professional and seem to get the best deal possible.
My faith in the obvious travel agents (i.e. the ones in sears or located in big malls) is very low, for the simple reason that if I ask them for a quote they quote 2000$ for India and it really makes me feel that the agency itslef gets a hudge fat cut out of the sale and discouraged from buying...but that doesnt solve the problem.
My question to those experienced out there are
1. Can any one recommend a travel agent that they have had experience with? Please send me a private message if you prefer.
2.What are the questions to ask a travel agent to ensure its not a scam?
3. Is there anyway of checking with the airline that the seat is indeed reserved for you before paying the cash?
4.Any websites that might help.
