In the Self Assessment tool on CIC website for Skilled Worker, in Factor 5 for 'Arranged Employment', under Bullet point number 2, it says:

C. The work permit was valid at the time you made your permanent resident visa application and at the time the visa, if any, is issued;

I understand & qualify all other (a,b & d) requirements, but his one confuses me. What does it mean ?

My workpermit was issued in March 2006 & is valid till March 2007. Can I claim the arranged employment points ?


I hope against hope that you will answer my question & that my plea will not fall on deaf ears.

My question was answered in the Immigration Application form where it clearly states that "Your work permit is valid for 12 or more months AFTER the date you apply for a PR visa.

I asked - I answered - Made a fool outta myself
