Wish you all the best!
Don't mean to put a dampener on your hopes and dreams, but try and branch out to other communities as well.
When I was working as a volunteer in one of the govt. programs., I found all Indians would not approach me or any other Indian volunteer but try to tag onto a non Indian mentor. Same with other nationalities. Chinese would go to another nationality, Polish to others etc. I wound up helping more Philipinos and Chinese than Indians.
Just a thought. But hey, who knows you just might break new ground and many Indians will flock to you.

Our program is open to all communities and as we grow and settle into the flow of things, we plan to initiate an aggressive outreach program to make our services familiar outside of the Desi groups.
CD is just a beginning.

Does a diploma obtained by doing a CANADIAN online course help in any way in getting a job?
Here in India, a person having a diploma through an online program hardly ever gets a job. Is the situation the same in Canada?
Or does it depend upon the subject? --- I was thinking of doing an online course (Canadian) in HR while in India (cause doing the regular course in India as DT had earlier suggested, is not working out).
The cost of Canadian online courses are mind boggling in Indian currency, but I will spend that money if these courses have a value in the Canadian job market.
Thanks in advance for any input!!!

Microsoft - Which end of the stick do you want today?
Dear CD members, I want to share this WONDERFUL news with you, one of our mentees got a job today after having successfully completed the SCOPE program. I must admit that the job is not exactly in her field but it is a 9-5 Office job with Salary + benefits and the remuneration is the same as what she'd get in a job in her field. Please join me in congratulating this mentee and wish her a prosperous new life in Canada.
Cheers
