Will do. I'll make LOTR my next reading project now.

I hope someone makes movies on Asimov's books. I would pay a lot of dough to watch the foundations series in particular.

Likewise, I'll add Asimov to my list. Have not read Asimov yet. Any specific recommendations?
Watching lotr without reading the books can be compared to watching a movie(not the br chopras tv series) about the Mahabarat without having any prior knowledge whatsoever about the characters/plots/subplots. You will not enjoy the true depth of the content.

While on the topic I think it would be much more gargantuan a task to put the Mahabarat in a feature format. I'm guessing more expensive too.

Speaking about the Mahabarat...has it ever occurred to anyone that Sage Ved Vyas has sort of dumbed down the events from a very advanced era of human civilisation? Many of the moral codes described in the epic seems to suggest an advanced society with deeply entrenched and defined codes of conduct. Also many of the devices/weapons mentioned can be described as futuristic even in our times.
e.g: Krishnas chakra which returned to him could have very well contained a homing device that recognised its owner.
Maybe I'm just reading too much into it. Any comments?

Would love to see the Mahabarat presented in the scale of the lotr. Maybe I'll be the lucky one who makes it...one can dream.

I would highly recommend "The Foundation" series by Asimov. Its a trilogy of epic proportions. Start with "Prelude to Foundation", which interestingly enough, Asimov wrote after the trilogy.

And yeah, putting the Mahabarat in feature format would be a truly gargantuan task. I thnk you'd have to split it in 3/4 parts like LOTR. And humongously expensive to make. But it would be worth all the work. If you ever embark on something like that, let me know. I'll quit my job and join your team, no kidding. :)
