Does anyone has an experience of appearing in the court by himself for fighting traffic ticket.(Failed to stop on Red). I dont know how to argue/appeal for pardon. Usually, in my 5 years driving this is the first ticket i have got. I know few of my friends say i can take a chance if the cop doesnt show up my ticket would be cancelled. But the flip side is if, she does show up. Can i request the Judge to reduce my fine/points.
Any suggestions highly appreciated.
Thanks
I havent been to the court, but if you plead with a decent request and since it is your first time in 5 years, MOST likely the judge will only fine you without points. However, it is also dependent on the mood of the judge on that date. Think of some genuine reasons such blinded by the vehicle in front, or medical emergency etc... was this on the red light camera OR by the officer? Seems it is an officer in your case...so you can also plead that you mis judged the time and could not break late to avoid collison with vehicle at rear...there are many such reasons, think of something that fits your situation.
All the best and keep other CDs informed.

Thanks!
In my case it was an undercover cop in early morning at 3.30am last october.
I was driving my wife to work.
