Thank you for taking care of it.

Although, I must say, you again removed the great element of fun we were having :)

Some questions then...

1) Approximately what percentage of people contitute these racists?
2) What do they do, do they call you slurs when they pass by you? Do they actually try to approach you to insult you? Or does it happen when you visit a certain area?
3) Last but not least, have you done anything about this?

Well after living in Canada for 4 years now, this has been my experience thus far:

Lived in Brampton for 3 of the 4 years and never experienced racism.

Moved to London Ontario just over a year ago and have experienced indirect racism in the office.

"what do all those First Nations guys do everynight, light bonfires?"

"if you can't speak a word of English when you first come to Canada - Get Back On That Boat!"

"I hate all Muslims" Although I am not Muslim myself, I was disgusted by this comment.

What did I do. I talked to my boss. HR is now involved and the matter will be brought up with the person in question. We'll see what happens.

Racism is always used a vent by losers in life. If a white guy does it then be sure he is a big loser or a failure in life and is passing on the blame on someone else.

When a prospective immigrant applies for Canada, he has to submit his qualification transcripts. His spouse also does the same.. in the hope that their qualifications may help them get a headstart in the new adopted land. Only to find out that their degrees are not recognized in Canada. In contrast, same qualifications of immigrants from UK or Australia are readily accepted and guys are often found getting a good head start. Whereas, we often end up doing labour jobs inspite of having the same qualifications as that possessed by immigrants from UK or Australia. I am not sure, but, is this a racial slant?? Then, its rampant in Toronto!

One more thing is the "Canadian Experience" , to add to it.
Even when we switch jobs from one city to the other, in India, or from one industry to the other, all the new employees are generally subjected to 2-3 weeks formal training before they are exposed to their responsibilities. No one shoos the qualified as not having the requisite "experience". Again, not sure, but is it a racial slant here? If yes, then again, its widespread in Toronto!! Otherwise, why not train and make good use of the talent already here, doing labour jobs out of compulsion and for mere survival?

My experience does not concur with your first paragraph. I have clients from the US, as well as UK that have similar difficulties in obtaining employment due to lack of canadian credentials.(Mostly in regulated professions)

I agree, its a generalised statement! But if you look at the percentile immigrants from those countries and that of ours, probably, we may see a difference!
