There is one more news today in Vancouver.
In Surrey and Richmond area there are stealing of copper and other expensive metal .These guys are stealing from electric lines and anywhere they get it. Even they are breaking Bench Park to get metal.
Police is saying that some indo-Canadian and Chinese Canadian are in that group.
It seems here is competition who is big bhai between Chinese or Indian Canadians.
Vancouver is notorious for desi gangs. These are all Punjabis from small villages (Pind) but now have made big money.

Loser this is a good link. Thanks for that.
I agree that there is lot of sikh/indian people here who came from village (pind) and still behave and live like village. Their kids are out of control. Speaking English in accent is not a qualification that they don’t understand. These young kids are so stupid they even don’t have common courtesy to talk with people who are new here. They think all new people here are also from village and illiterate like their parents/uncle and working on shops.
How about Toronto? Things are better there or same?
I think US is far better than here for if we compare Indian kids it seem. Some Gujarat kids in NJ I have seen are not well educated but not in crime also. They are enjoying business with their parents.
The overall East Indian community is "Badnam" in Western Canada because of this.

Microsoft - Which end of the stick do you want today?
i agree with bluelobster on his first post. it is wrong to generalize.
coming to the problem about indian kids, or any kids, its all their upbringing. if the parents are careful about their kid's future, they can and should keep an eye on what they are doing whom they are making friends with. also, they need to know how to communicate with their kids to make them learn the difference between right and wrong.
anyway, parents can only lay foundation to good manners, culture. once they are teens, they go through a rebel phase. that is the critical phase and how parents deal with it changes everything.
i remember one of my canadian house owner's experience.
with two teenage kids it was a fight every day. once day his son used "f" word on his mother and father decided enough is enough and packed his son from canada to a boarding school in india.
his wife, poor lady used to cry about that angry son. i dont know packing him off to india is a good idea when that kid all his life only know canada. hope they are fine now!
