Pakhi,
Welcome to Canada. I am a registered Social worker.
If you have joined the Ontario Association of Social Workers, registered with the board of registration etc, and are still not able to find work
a) Have you had your resume evaluated? Does it showcase your talents skills and strengths adequately?
b) Have you connected with any professional job search program or Job Mentorship program?
c) Try to do some volunteer work in a related area (to your area of specialization) so that you can get the "canadian references".
You can also talk to the faculty of social work in your local college/university to see if they can give you any leads/suggestions.
Good luck!
