Sir, Hi,
I am on a tourist visa with my wife in Canada. We were blessed by baby boy on 25 aug 06, Can I apply for his citizenship of Canada? And Can we also apply for the Citizenship or Permanent Resident of Canada? or Is there any other way out to live and work in Canada?
Please Reply.
Sure, the parents can apply for Cdn citizenship if the parents are Permanent Residents of Canada and have satisfied the residency and other obligations for citizenship eligibility.
Can the parents become citizens because the child is a citizen? NOPE.

When he grows up and sponsors - yes.
you can show hard ship for the canadian citizen if he were to grow up else where than canada. i know it used to work years ago . one was allowed to stay with the child and work here as a guardian to a minor citizen. but i think they changed those rules. it might be worth the shot. talk to a lawyer. i am pretty sure its changed now.
