I have also recently started having these allergies around this time of the year - itchy eyes, running nose and breathing trouble. I will surely start with 'Kapalbhatti' and 'Anuloma and Viloma'.
At the same time, I feel there should also be a few home remedies to strenghen your immune system.
Anybody who remebers or does for himself/herself anything which
'Mujhe Daadi Maa ne bataya tha' to get rid of common seasonal allergies.

I'm in the same boat too. MY F-I-L is a homeopathy doctor, and he happened to be with us last month. He tried a few medicines on me, but nothing worked. He then suggest yoga, co-incidentally he too has been practising yoga for a few years now.

After seeking the advice and help of my doctor last year I walked out of his office with Nasonex and eye drops. Big whoop. Did nothing for me. So I tried to endure the pain and suffering as best as I could and tried not to let the constant sneezing every 5 mins, runny watery nose, itchy watery eyes, occasional eye infection from rubbing itchy watery eyes, phlegm build up in my throat, dry skin around my nose and mouth, dry lips, blocked nose, diminished sleep from blocked nose, irritability from diminished sleep from blocked nose among other symptoms get me down.
This year, after writing down all the above symptoms on a peice of paper and handing it to my doctor and letting him know (with hard look of determination on my face...and eyes twitching) that I would NOT be walking out of his office with Nasonex and eye drops this year...he proceeded to arrange an appointment with an allergy specialist. I'll be seeing him in November. This time next year I hope not to be suffering from this messed up condition that drastically decreases your quality of life for almost 2 months...and if I do, I'm moving to the moon.

I'd be interested in knowing the outcome with the specialist...it's it not too personal.
As regards your trip to the moon, could I PM you my resume so you could look out for a job for me once you get there.....
On a side note, my allergies have not been as bad this year. They only started around late August (Actually almost immediately after PP's post on another thread, guess just a coincidence). For around 4-5 days end-Aug/Sep it was bad. No severe itchy eyes, just the sneezing and running nose. So I'm not complaining.
