I am familiar with this program. It is fairly new. It is funded by the Province (not the federal government like many services are) and its goals are to assist recent skilled immigrant find work in their field.
They do one to one career counselling
They can assist with evaluating credentials, assisting you develop a return to work action plan, and they assist with networking in your industry, and they have job developers that (i believe) do job placements where possible. Due to the funding sources, there is a committment fee required of clients. You do not have to take this program - there are other job search programs out there however this one is specific for Immigrants.
Another one that appears to be succesful is the Practice firm offered by the Trainig group at Douglas College.
