It is official that Hindi movie Baddie Shakti Kapoor landed on 30th September 2006 and applied/obtained his SIN number in Mississauga. He has applied for his PR card but left for UK on 3rd October 2006.

The list of other Bollywood immigrants are:

Kadher Khan, John Abraham, Lisa Ray, Deepa Metha, Akshay Kumar, Jaspinder Narula, Ruby Bhatia, Adnan Sami to name a few.

Lolita here I come !.

Just curious how these guys maintain their PR status......you are supposed to live for 2/5 yrs in Canada....or is there a separate criteria for hot shots?

I think Adnan Sami gew up in Toronto.
Ruby Bhatia? Never heard that name in bollywood.

Interesting!! Yes, I think she never acted except couple of guest appearances. However she is a known TV and stage anchor.

Her first major appearance was at the time of Miss World by ABCL.

I think both Lisa and Ruby grew up in Canada.

Wondering how Shakti Kapoor can land a PR visa. Just an example of the Canadian Immigration system.
