Hi all,

my first visit (for 5 days) during the winter to TO will be in early nov.

queries are -
1. will it be adequate for a desi gulfi to wear an inner vest (like Rupa's ;) ) + a woolen sweater and a jacket (columbia lined jacket)?
2. in respect of boots, i have salomon hiking boots (with goretex), will those be ok)?
3. any suggestion for a safe and decent hotel (not a hilton, but not a room by the hour kind either) around don mills and sheppard, close to a place where i can find veggie food (preferably indian).

rgds,

newboyo

Most probably, yes, depending on your tolerance level.
This is not quite the North Pole, you know ;)

Yeah - there won't be any snow/ice on the roads in early Nov.
Mornings and evenings will be cold.
There will be overnight frost, and some flurries mid-to-late Nov.
One thing you will need is a good, warm "toupee".
You can easily buy one here.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

Dont forget gloves, in Muscat we bought gloves from Sana, for
something like RO1/per pair. Those are very usefull and costs much
more here. If you are yet to buy the Jacket, look for the ones with
hood. We missed buying a leather jacket at LULU for RO 22 or something
like that. Here the same thing cost $100 plus.

Hope this helps,

Tom
