Even original Don had its problem. One major that I could not digest at all was the "Diary" thing. And the way it was "Handled" at the End.
Farhan went way too much into remaking. New Don has everything on "Disc". I dont think even New generation take that.
But True - Don & Sholay cannot be remade saying that its a Remake.
Film makers always have got "Inspired" by Oldies and got away with it.

Lets be a little charitable here......... Consider this scenario.....In another 30 years Salim Khan's grandson will want to remake DON to pay tribute to his grandfather. (DON - The Intergalactic chase begins)
Hrithik's son will play DON, an intergalactic smuggler wanted by the planetary police and Kajols Daughter will play Roma. The CD will be replaced by a microchip implanted into the original Don's body and the original Don will be substituted by a clone so that the biometric scans work. The original DON will escape from a spaceship instead of a plane.
When the film is released the generation of people who grew up on Shahrukh Khan will say.......
Nobody can beat Sharukh's portrayal of Don....
Farhan Akhtar was a genius.......
Hrithik's son cannot match Sharukhs charisma.......
And the people who populate this board will be old geezers who will pine for the DVDs (an outdated technology by then) of Amitabh's Don which will only be available for a huge sum on the blackmarket.

Just a flash in my mind but in Toronto recently when both AB and SRK were out of the venue and talking to the media the crowd esp girls were shouting for SRK and not AB . How times change ?

Don is the most stupid remake i have ever seen....srk is no match for amitabh...he shud not act in remaKES OF AMITHAB MOVIES...he will always fall flat....face that SRK makes is unbearable....he was best in ony one movie..swades...
