2) What is the cost of geocery and food(If it is cooked at home)(Average)??
3) What is the average rent if me and my family live in a 2 bedroom apartment??

It would be great if i get any sort of good links which can help me further ...

Answer :
1) What is the cost of electricity, gas, phone and water bills(Average)??
Ans: Elec./Gas/Water : $50-$100 a month. In an apartment, it may be free.
Phone : $35-$50 (depending on the features)

2) What is the cost of grocery and food(If it is cooked at home)(Average)??
Ans: Veg. Min. $150 Veg.
Average $225 (all incl. milk)
Non. Veg. Min. $200
Non veg. Average : $350

3) W]hat is the average rent if me and my family live in a 2 bedroom apartment
Ans: Cheapest (basement) $700
Average : $800-$1000

Note that , Cellphone, Transit Buspass/car + insurance+gas, Entertainment, Cloths, Long distance phone, Internet connection, eating outside, getting cheated in Toronto can add upto 25% to 100% of the above mentioned total. So leave enough money for that too.

If you hire an apartment generally electricity, gas, water is included in the rent.( Average rent for 2 BD apt shall be $ 900- 1100) Transit pass is around $ 100 / month in Toronto, Cell - $40, Internet - $35-45 , grocery is around $ 300 ( this can vary depending on the type of food you consume)

There shall be other start up expenses like furniture etc. which you may have to consider.

Thanks

Having been here a few months myself I think these are pretty good estimates. A couple more things to add - look at $100 upwards on eating out.

Transit in Toronto depends on where you live and work. It may be more expensive if you live in Brampton/Mississauga and work in Toronto.

The estimates for rent are more applicable in Brampton/Mississauga. A decent 2BR would be on $1100 and up in Toronto.

If you are earning less the 100,000 $ per year you are lower middle class and are not living the proper Canadian life.

Hi Loser,
By that I assume 60-75% of canadian population will be lower middle class! Average per capita is about 35K I think. I guess majority don't live the Candian dream

See link: http://www.statcan.ca/Daily/English/050721/d050721b.htm

"In 2001, per capita employment income in the three census metropolitan areas with a population of more than 1.5 million (Toronto, Montréal and Vancouver) amounted to $18,400. It was just as high, around $18,500, in large urban areas with populations between 500,000 and 1,499,999. However, in smaller centres, income fell systematically.

Per capita employment income in medium-sized cities with populations of between 100,000 and 499,999 amounted to $15,800. In small cities, those with populations of 10,000 to 99,999, employment income was around $14,100 per person.

Per capita employment incomes were lower still in rural areas. Those rural areas with connections to cities through commuting flows, the so-called "urban shadow," had per capita earned incomes of around $12,200. More remote rural areas beyond the commuting distance of cities had incomes of $8,600."
