Hi,
We are (myself, husband and one yr old son) moving in toronto in november. I am looking for a good rental community in or around toronto with significant indian population. It would be very helpful if any of you can give information on such community.
Thanks in advance.

Hi B & Parag,
We are from Lucknow & settled in Malton (Bordering Toronto & Brampton) Mississauga since 2002 as we find it very convenient and very well connected to Toronto,Mississauga & Brampton and Highways. So even if you don't have car you can easily go to work.
Right now we have a Walkin basement for rent which we will only give to small Indian Family (We are also a very small family : Me, my wife & little daughter).
Yeterday I have advertised this in Canadian Desi also (please see Wak-in-basement),if you are interested please call me @ 905-672-8281.
Thanks,
Regards,
Sanjiv
Just wondering, does it make any difference if any Indian family or community living near by or not?
I lived in few places in US where only 1-2 Indian families in whole city and we enjoyed most in those small town. Good and bad people are everywhere and every community. A small Indian shop was 30 mins drive and we need to go once in two weeks there.

Fido.
Festival makes difference otherwise friends, company, hanging out groups can be any family/friends does not matter which sync with you and your family.
But for festival you can drive near by cities for one day and get the feeling.
I think it's personality type of thing and depends upon person to person.Sometime business and job need that type of networking. I like to have company, friends if we both are feeling comfortable and easy to go together.
Only thing I hate dinner on every weekend on each other home. If nothing to do so go to other person home and have dinner/lunch on weekend. It's better to meet at some nice restaurant, have some good drink/wine with food and good chat.
