Switching from permanenet IT job to contract

Does this mean that in case the rate is 80/hr we should be charging 5% on that as taxes to the other party ? Does this thing need to be mentioned in the contract ?

Please confirm - I was unaware of this as I would be contracting for the first time . Are there any other such points which should be borne in mind before signing the contract ? Kindly shed some light ?

Is there any url where I can get the needed information especially with regards to the incorporation formalities ?? Thanks a lot everyone , special thanks to Maharaj & JRF . Much appreciated . :cheers:

PM me with the phone number, its been just a year since I incorp-ed, the cost was $500 all inclusive and I will also let you know the basic set up formalities I went through including GST, payroll to avoid the fines I paid.

PMs move from your outbox to SENT once the receipient opens the PM. One way for you to tell if your PM has been read or not.
