Any one on this forum ever been inspired to make \" art films\" or do some creative writing ? Have you ever been moved or uplifted by watching the films of Satyajit Ray, Hrishikesh Mukherjee, Nagesh K., Merchant, et al. Have you ever had the urge to just open a book and smell the paper or take a pen and just write?
Hello Anarkali
Sometimes words are enough to understand that 2 people think so much alike!
Well, i am a creative writer with over 100 songs written in English, Hindi, Punjabi and Sanskrit. Not only this i am a keen writer wanting to write on similar themes that you may have in mind.
I'm looking to be a part of a group too that has stimulating ideas that can be put to some practical action for a larger audience.
Many thanks and i sincerely look forward to a reply.

Hi group
This is a nice co-incidence. I was just thinking of posting a msg on this topic and there it is.
Yesterday I went and enrolled for a 1 year part-time certificate program in Film making at Ryerson Univ.
The purpose of doing this program is to eventually switch my career to Film industry.
A little abt myself, by education I am a mechanical engineer. I worked as mech engg for abt 2 yrs and changed my career to IT.
Now I am in IT project management. I realized that all this while I have been doing something that I am really not that interested in but had to do for livelihood.
I have always wanted a career in film industry and to make that dream come true I have taken the first step by enrolling for the program.
I am 38 now by the time I finish this program I will be 39 and I hope that it will not be too late to make another career change in my life. . I am really
excited abt this course and it feels so good to be a student again after so many years. Wish me luck guys.
Cheers
