Bilz performance last night at Mosaic was 'deadly'.

But the crowd was much more restrained than at Desi Fest. There the gals stormed the stage and guys were throwing up their buddies in the air. No such action at the Civic centre last night.

The bands at Rock the Coliseum were good too.
Heavy segregation though. Too many Caucs at the Coli and too many SAs at the grounds.
Hardly any SAs at the Coli and hardly any Caucs at the grounds cept when Bilz hit the stage.

Bilz is coming to play at 103.5 Summer Rush headlining Enrique Iglesias. July 22nd.

Again at Masala Mehndi Masti on JUly 29 I believe. We are gonna OD on Bilz.

Manna Dey will be cool. Saw him last in Mumbai round 5 years ago. He was good then.
Man, like summer's just plain where it's at. Lotsa activity.

Today is Gay parade.

Remember Mamas and the Papas "Summer's here and the time is right for dancing in the Streets". Later done by Martha and the Vandellas then even Mick Jagger did it.

Then there were the Bandra band versions "Up in New Delhi, down in Bangalore City and right here in Bombay smack in the belly of Bandra..."

Yeah all we need is good music .....

Ain't we Desis just where it's at... Got ferang and Desi music in our veins...

Don't know how many of you made it to Mosaic today, but there were 2 heavy metal bands there- Falak and Zen.

Good stuff!
Don't know why the organiser of the show, Asma Mahmood, was making excuses as to showcasing this type of music 'cos our children listen to it.

And here I thought Iron Maiden, Motorhead, Black Sabbath and the rest was termed as old folk music. Are our children that old?

I couldn't figure that one out!

Hey Guys,

Anyone interested in formalizing this group and making it sort of a cultural/business group. We could organize events for festivals like navratri, diwali etc and celebrate them in the special bambaiyya way. We could help new comers settle here. We could do fundraising to help charities in and near Bombay. There are a lot of things we could do.
