It all depends on your current profile.

Obviously if you dont have a designation at all and if you get a CPA its better

But, if you have a CA from India or some other designation, a CPA might not add as much value

Again, if you have an MBA and you go for CPA, it will still add value cuz CPA is specialization in accounting.
