my wife is from Pune ....I was in pune for 6yrs....and i did my engg from bharati vidyapeeth only.
we are in toronto right now

Hello im born and bought up in Pune, i just love Pune city and do miss teh place and different places where the food is awesome.

Specially Vaishali ka SPDP, dosa

Lots of other places too like Shivaji nagar ka bhel, KNP, Bund garden ka bhel, ohh shivsagar ka pavbhaji.......... bas bas we can go on and on about Pune, its a wonderfull place.

I actually lived closer to Bishop's - on East Street.

Am already a Canadian PR. Planning to Immigrate in early 2008. Its a toss up between Windsor or North York at this point.

Been stuck in the US GC process since 7 plus yrs with no relief in sight.

Maybe Vincentians rule

But Bishopites rock!!!

Vaishali is good, Bund Garden bhel is also good. From my area, we have Madhuban - great South Indian veg. food, Olympia kathi rolls, also Kapila kathi rolls. ABC farms- great restaurants.
Now Kalyani Nagar is also good- great new restaurant called The Ship- high end- worth a visit when next you visit Pune. Yo China- also excellent.
A lot of development in Pune- Margapatta City, Kharadi - great number of IT companies now there. Also Prem's restaurant in Koregaon Park. Many have come up now- Malacca Spice- very good.

East street- Olympia restaurant- Kwality restaurant- George's barbeque chicken!!!

So it's the Great White North in 2008 is it? Hope you find it better than Houston.
