Lets have a pool for the "Christmas " tree controversy.
Ask a simple question do you approve or disapprove of christmas tree in public places.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
You know you are a desi when ........ You spew forth the virtues of India, but don't want to live there...............You've never had a tanning salon membership
^ What would your answer to the poll be?
"I have no problems with a Christmas tree"
In this "politically correct" world Christmas holidays have now been renamed Happy Holidays. So the next time you greet someone in the US or Canada it would be "politically correct" to go ahead and say Happy Holidays.
What if it was Diwali, Eid, Baisakhi or Christmas in India and we kept telling people Happy holidays. This is what I like about Kerala, the state that I come from. We celebrate all holidays irrespective of religion and we make it a point to say Happy Diwali, Eid Mubarak and Merry Christmas. I guess the same applies to the whole of India.
At Christmas time, "Christmas stars" hang on the porch of all houses in Kerala irrespective of religion. At Diwali we all make it a point to light lamps & fire crackers and eat the sweets. At Eid we look forward to the delicious biryani at our neighbors house.
Just celebrate it !
