Perhaps there should be separate entries for good English and Hindi films, as there is a 'slight' different in quality between the two.
Surprising to note that you did not like any Indian movie.

Advice is free – lessons I charge for!!
I watch Hindi movies once in a while and find them mostly to be a waste of time. Case in point, everyone is talking of the new direction Amir Khan is taking with his new movies. People said good things about Rang De Basanti so I thought I'd give it a shot.
Spent two+ hours and found it mediocre at best, with not coherent link between the first and second half of the movie. And the Indian media highlights why it was dropped from consideration for the foreign film Oscar's.
In contrast, I see movies like The Departed (great) and Babel (pretty decent) and the movie going experience is completely different.
A good movie is a good movie, regardless of the language. I don't want to sit through 50 movies to see (maybe) 2 passable movies.
The last movie I liked was Company. I thought it was well done, though I happened to see it because it was on TV and I didn't have anything to do at that time. Again, because of my general experience I'm reluctant to give most Hindi movies a shot.
