Dear Canadiandesi friends,
I am a regular reader of Canadian desi. I have applied for my parents sponsorship application with my brother (24 years old) and a sister (22 years old). My timeline is as follows :
Applied to CPC, Mississauga - June 4, 2004
Got an approval letter from CPC, Mississauga - Oct 18, 2006
Submitted file to New delhi in Dec 20, 2006.
Now I have received a letter from New delhi stating that " A REVIEW OF YOUR APPLICATION FOR PERMANENT RESIDENCE INDICATES THAT A PERSONAL INTERVIEW IS REQUIRED IN ORDER TO RENDER A SELECTION PROCESS".
My question is did anybody who have sponsored their parents from India get this kind of letter. Could anybody let me know how much time it will take for an interview?
Thanks in advance for all your help.
Regards
VP

Are your brother and sister are full time student after 21/22?
If they are, did you submitted all the papers from Univ/School to show them they are continuing education.
Even if they havent asked you about any education paper work, you still hve to send them all the udpates.
I have done similar for my brother sponsership and we got waved of interview.
now, still you have chance; prepare all the papers before interview specifically for study related.
give me PM ... if you need more information.
Hi Binal,
Thanks a lot for your very prompt response. I really appreciate your extending and kind help.
My brother and sister both are studying as full time student and I have submitted both of full time study letter from the respective college. I don't know how much time it would take them to get the medical/interview. I am so anxious to know about the timeline because I was cheking the CHC, New delhi website and it says 36 months after first initial review. Just curious to know did you get the same kind of interview letter from CHC? If you don't mind can I get your personal e-mail id so I can write down more in details.
Thanks a ton Binal for your response.
In anticipation,
VP

Hi vim_1008,
We didnt get the paper for interview. Please send me 'PM' thru canadian desi ..or send me email message thru profile setting. I will not write my email address here just to avoid spams. I m sure you know how to PM from canadan desi website.
We didnt get the interview letter. We have recived diectly medical papers, and another letter where I have to submit all papers from university and schools which can show my brother's full time present. Also, I had an excellent laywer..and being in IT knows how to document, so in my correspondce I have documented very well to show them full time present in univ/school..and we needed papers from each univ/school.. stated his present was full time during his study..etc.. lots of paper work. but it was worthed, and case was finished in 4 month. Now, all are here since 1 year.... so relaxed and happy. one thing let me tell you, you are doing correct things. Having family in canada is like heaven. you will get so much support once they are here. There is always someone for you. great help. And also very good for them for the future. I see canada not as land of opp.. or making money, but I like canada for equality, profesinalism.. and for values. I cant leave with my values back home.
And Canada is very generous for bringing your family faster. Now, in US its getting tougher and tougher..means on H1 - greencard - citizen.. it takes more than 10-15 years and then you can sponser your parent..forget aboout your brohter and sister..so even after going thru this much hassle, your parent cant even settled with you as your brother and sister will be in india. so family will be apart.
Anyway, coming back on point, send me PM with detail on my email address and I will be happy to guide you.
